Attorney John Min along with the Sunfull Delegation visits Manila for their K-Respect Campaign

Attorney John Min, Foreign Senior Attorney at Dentons Lee and a board member of the Sunfull Foundation, recently played a key role in the K-Respect campaign, held on November 27 at the University of Perpetual Help in Manila, Philippines. Organized by the Sunfull Foundation, the event emphasized combating prejudice and discrimination in multicultural societies while advocating for mutual respect and global understanding.

In addition to his advocacy work, Attorney Min has been appointed as the legal advisor for the OFW Partylist. In this capacity, he will support initiatives aimed at enhancing the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) worldwide.

Dr. Antonio Tamayo, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the university, and Marissa Magsino, a member of the Philippine House of Representatives (OFWPL), both underscored the campaign's significance and voiced their support. In a notable development, Rep. Magsino introduced a bill that would designate May 27 as K-Respect Day, calling for greater efforts to prevent cyberbullying and hate speech through respect and empathy.

Attorney Min also joined the Sunfull Foundation Chairman Min Byoung-chul in a meeting with Hans Leo Cacdac, Secretary of the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), on November 29. During this meeting, they discussed collaborative efforts to promote the K-Respect campaign, focusing on reducing prejudice and discrimination against multicultural and ethnic groups, including Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

Mr. Min emphasized the timely relevance of the campaign, stating, "The K-Respect campaign serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting cultural differences and collaborating as members of the global community." He further highlighted that through mutual respect, it is possible to establish the foundation for sustainable partnerships that transcend national borders.
The K-Respect campaign is a global movement that aims to replace prejudice and discrimination with respect and care. The initiative seeks to strengthen the values of mutual understanding and respect between the Philippines and Korea, and beyond.

Moving forward, he and the Sunfull Foundation remain committed to promoting a culture of respect online and combating cyber violence and human rights violations, not only in Korea and the Philippines but also around the world. As the newly appointed legal advisor for the OFW Partylist, Attorney Min will play a crucial role in supporting legislative and advocacy efforts to protect the rights of Overseas Filipino Workers and address issues for these overseas workers.
