On October 30, Dentons Lee presented a seminar titled "Pre-Arbitration and Post-Arbitration Considerations of a Dispute" at the Seoul ADR Festival 2023.

The seminar, held at the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board offices, was moderated by Christina JiWon Park of Dentons Lee. A panel of experts including Kurt B. Gerstner (Dentons Lee), John JungKyum Kim (Dentons Lee), Michele Sonen (North East Asia Director & Head, SIAC), Chee Chong Lau (Investment Manager & Legal Counsel, OMNI BRIDGEWAY) and Scott Seong-Hwan Kim (Legal Counsel, SK E&S CO., Ltd.) gave presentations on different legal and commercial issues to be considered when a company is contemplating initiating an international arbitration. Topics discussed included an in-house counsel's perspectives on bringing and managing international arbitrations, the need to review insurance coverage related to a claim, arbitration procedures and considerations, the process for recognition and enforcement of arbitration awards, considering whether one can enforce and collect an award before initiating an arbitration action, and practical ways to collect an award.

Dentons Lee will continue to participate in the Seoul ADR Festival to introduce its global international arbitration services to domestic and international clients.
