On June 30, 2023, Dentons Lee and the Korea In-House Counsel Association successfully co-hosted the Labor Academic Committee Special Seminar. More than 60 in-house lawyers, including members the Labor Academic Committee of the Korea In-House Counsel Association, attended the webinar.

Attorney Si-Won Lee of Dentons Lee reviewed and explained the legal principles related to the liability of labor unions and union members for damages. Attorney Lee said, "Due to a recent ruling of the Supreme Court, more companies are getting interested in countermeasures to illegal labor disputes, and it is necessary for companies to be familiar with the legal issues and practical considerations for each response strategy."

In addition, Attorney Yo-Sub Shim of Dentons Lee analyzed a recent Supreme Court ruling on the scope and limitation of liability for damages arising out of cessation of operations arising out of a sit-down strike by a labor union, and explained the issues related to the so-called Yellow Envelope Act, which stipulates limitations on the scope of liability for damages arising out of collective bargaining, labor disputes, or other union activities. He said, "As various reactions and evaluations to the recent Supreme Court ruling emerge, those in charge of related work may be a bit confused. It is necessary to respond appropriately to similar cases in the future, based on an accurate understanding of the contents of the Supreme Court ruling and the so-called Yellow Envelope Act, as well as the differences between them."
