Attorney Yo-Sub Shim was recognized as a Rising Star in the HR and labor practice areas in 2023’s Lawyer Assessment by the JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-house Counsel Association.

Assessment panel revealed that "He is an expert who draws high satisfaction from clients with aggressiveness in reducing legal risks by researching the latest industry developments, outstanding academic achievements and effective client communication, in addition to his quick and accurate responses".

The JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-house Counsel Association selected "Best Lawyers" and "Rising Stars" in each of 20 practice areas from the ones hired by the top 54 law firms, taking into account the employment screening subjects of the Ministry of Personnel Management. In the case of Rising Stars, selection was made among attorneys who have been practicing for at least seven up to 15 years with an understanding of the industry and related laws. In an interview with the JoongAng Ilbo, Chairman Sung-Han Kim of the Korea In-house Counsel Association stated that this assessment holds more significance than before in terms of objectiveness and fairness, as it was based on the objective performance records of in-house lawyers and the opinions of referees, who has actually worked with the attorneys being evaluated.
