Ki-Soon Park, former president of Samsung Economic Research Institute, China, has joined Dentons Lee as an advisor, as the Firm continues to strengthen the capability of its China Practice Group.
Mr. Park served for eight years in Beijing as president of Samsung Economic Research Institute, China (SERI, China), with the title of Executive Vice President of Samsung Group. During his residence in Beijing, he successfully provided consulting services for the Samsung Group and its affiliates on how to enter the Chinese market, local marketing, business strategies, and government-related issues.
Prior to assuming his executive role at Samsung, Mr. Park served in various prominent positions for Korea Development Bank involving China, including Head of the Northeast Asia Research Center at Korea Development Bank, Vice President of KDB Asia (Hong Kong), and Branch Manager of Korea Development Bank Beijing Branch, Shanghai Branch as well as China Regional Manager.
Having resided in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing for over 30 years, handling financial affairs and management consulting related to China, he has developed unparalleled practical knowledge of China.
Since returning to South Korea in 2020, Mr. Park has been lecturing on Chinese corporate strategies, Chinese innovative management and Chinese economic theories as a visiting professor at Sungkyunkwan University's Graduate School of China. He is widely recognized as an expert with in-depth knowledge of diplomatic and security issues relating to China.
Dentons Lee launched the China Practice Group in May 2020 to better respond to the growing needs for legal services between South Korea and China.
