Dentons Lee has recently scouted Attorney Yong-Moon Kim, a highly regarded expert attorney in employment and labor with over 15 years of experience.

Before joining the Firm, Attorney Yong-Moon Kim acquired his in-depth expertise in labor relations while working at Yoon & Yang LLC (2006-2008) and Lee and Ko LLC (2009-2021).

As an expert in labor and employment issues, Yong-Moon Kim has successfully advised clients on issues related to labor such as individual employment relationships (ex. whether a person can be defined as an employee, hiring, dismissal, disciplinary measures, HR order, performance management, corporate restructuring, wage, severance pay, part-time employees, dispatched employees, other non-regular employees, protection of female workers’ rights, workplace discrimination, individual employees/employer relationship during M&A transactions) and collective labor relationships (ex. establishment and operation of labor unions, collective bargaining, union activities, strikes, unfair labor practices, collective employees/employer relationship during M&A transactions, establishment and operation of labor committees) as well as occupational safety and health in many civil, criminal and administrative litigations, response to the investigations by supervisory institutions and disputes against the labor committees and other diverse disputes equivalent thereto. Also, based on his special experience of working for the UN International Labor Organization for 1 year as a legal specialist, Kim recently assisted a client in the dispute in relation to the Korea-EU FTA.

Meanwhile, Attorney Yong-Moon Kim is engaging himself to various pro-bono activities related to labor issues by serving as an external advisor of the Human Rights Management Committee in the Korea Development Bank, an external member of the Policy Research Deliberation Committee in the Public Procurement Service, a power abuse ombudsman at the Public Procurement Service and an adjudication of the Public Interest at Gyeongi Regional Labor Relations Commission.

Woon-Bae Jeon is one of the nation’s prominent experts in labor and employment who has acquired in-depth expertise and extensive first-hand practical experience while working as a public servant responsible for handling numerous critically important labor-related activities, including as head of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, executive officer of the Presidential Office for Labor-Management Relations, chairperson for the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission, head of the Employment & Labor Training Institute, etc. With his expertise, Advisor Jeon is contributing greatly not only to Firm’s response in the legal aspect but also in policy and management strategy aspects.
